The Harvester is a terrifying sight for the enemies of the Dark Eldar, a flying mass of steel and armour, bristling with weapons of awesome power. Many battles have been ended by the appearance of one of these behemonths crashing through the enemy lines in a blaze of firepower.

0-1 EXECUTIONER SQUAD

The Executioners are a product of Dark Eldar society, where assassination attempts are an everyday event. Snipers are recruited and used in battle as well as in inter-Kabal politics, their lethal rifles proving to be powerful weapons in both arenas.

Squad: The squad consists of between five and ten Executioners.

SPECIAL RULES
Infiltrators: In the right circumstances, Executioners have the ability to work their way into a forward position on the battlefield. They may set up using the Infiltrators rule, but only if the mission being played allows this rule to be used. If not, the Executioners must set up with the rest of the army as normal.

MAELSTROM SQUAD
|
Some Warriors are chosen to provide support for their raiding parties, armed with long-ranged heavy weapons and positioned behind the Dark Eldar's assault line. The firepower of Maelstrom squads forms a barrage that shatters defenses as the Raiders and Warriors close in for combat.

Squad: The squad consists of between five and ten Dark Eldar Warriors.
Weapons: Splinter rifle.
Options: Up to four models may be armed with a dark lance at +20 pts or a disintegrator at +25 pts.
Character: One of the Dark Eldar may be upgraded to a Sybarite at an additional cost of +6 pts. The Sybarite is armed with a splinter rifle or a splinter pistol and close combat weapon, and may choose additional equipment from the Armoury.

SPECIAL RULES
Dark Eye Targeters: Maelstrom squads are outfitted with targeting systems linked to their weapons, based on similar technology used on Dark Eldar vehicles. Any cover save made against firing from a Maelstrom squad must add +1 to the required save, ie a 5+ save becomes 6+. This ability does not affect conventional armour saves, or vehicles using cover to be hull down.
